§ 24105 Animal Theft Investigation Limits

No investigator of the program or any other employee of the department, in enforcing this chapter, shall be required to conduct any investigation that involves the theft of any animal. That investigation shall be conducted by the law enforcement entity that filed the theft report. However, an investigator of the program may assist the law enforcement entity that filed the theft report in the theft investigation. (Amended by Stats. 1993, Ch. 459, Sec. 1. Effective January 1, 1994.)
