§ 22084 Meat Sales To Peddlers Restricted

• •Only big meat sellers or licensed slaughterhouses can sell meat to people who go around selling meat (peddlers).
• •If you're not one of these big sellers, you can't give or sell meat to a peddler.
• •This rule doesn’t apply if the animal was checked and killed the right way under another law (Section 22007).

Your neighbor raises cows and wants to sell some meat to a guy who drives around selling meat from his truck.

Your neighbor can’t do this unless he’s a big meat seller or has a license to kill animals for meat. If he does it anyway, he’s breaking the law.
