• •You can't take cattle home after buying them at an auction until an inspector checks their brands and gives a certificate.

You buy a cow at a livestock auction and try to load it onto your truck right away.

You have to wait for the brand inspector to check the cow and give you a paper saying it’s okay to take it. If you leave without that paper, you’re breaking the law.
