§ 2154 Temporary Commissioner Appointments

If the appointing power does not make a temporary appointment of a commissioner and no person can be appointed from the eligible list by the director, the director may make a temporary appointment of a person who is competent to carry on the duties of the office for a period not exceeding three months. (Enacted by Stats. 1967, Ch. 15.)
