§ 21205 Animal Substitution Prohibition

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't swap, add, or remove animals from a group that has a certificate without telling the inspector first.
  • •The inspector must say it's okay before you make any changes to the group of animals.
  • •This rule applies until the animals are shipped or slaughtered.

Example

A farmer has a group of cows with a certificate, and wants to swap one sick cow with a healthy one.

The farmer must tell the inspector and get approval before swapping the cows. If they don't, they're breaking the law.
