§ 19340 Slaughterer Hauling Interest Ban

• •If you own a slaughterhouse, you can't also own or control a company that hauls dead animals.
• •This rule only applies if your slaughterhouse is not checked by the state or federal government.
• •You also can't have your workers or friends own or control such a company for you.

A person owns a slaughterhouse that is not inspected by the state or federal government. This person also owns a trucking company that picks up dead animals from farms.

This is not allowed. The person would have to either get their slaughterhouse inspected or sell the trucking company.
