§ 14262 Drug Exemption Categories

This law says the rules in this chapter don’t cover certain kinds of drugs and products, like lab‑only animal medicines, registered pesticides, USDA‑licensed biological products, and prescription‑only drugs.

Key Takeaways

  • •Lab‑only animal drugs are excluded.
  • •Registered pesticides are excluded.
  • •Biological products licensed by USDA or the state health department are excluded.
  • •Drugs that must be prescribed by federal law are excluded.

Example

A farmer buys a pesticide that is officially registered with the state and uses it on crops.

Because the pesticide is registered, the chapter’s rules don’t apply to it, so the farmer follows the pesticide regulations instead.
