§ 13126 Pesticide Registration Health Studies

This law says new pesticides can't be approved if important safety tests are missing or bad, unless state health and work safety bosses say it's okay.

Key Takeaways

  • •New pesticides need full safety tests to be sold.
  • •If tests are missing or bad, the state won't approve them.
  • •Only the health and work safety bosses can make exceptions.

Example

A company makes a new bug spray but didn't test if it causes cancer.

The state won't let them sell it unless the health and work safety bosses agree it's safe anyway.
