§ 12802 Pesticide Mixing Exemption

This law says you can mix or thin a pesticide exactly how the label says, for your own use or your own business, without having to register as a pesticide dealer.

Key Takeaways

  • •You can mix or dilute a pesticide as long as you follow the label directions.
  • •The mixing is allowed only for your own personal use or for your own business.
  • •You do NOT need to become a registered pesticide dealer to do this.

Example

A homeowner wants to spray weeds in his garden and follows the mixing instructions on the pesticide bottle.

Because he is using the pesticide for his own garden and follows the label directions, he can mix it himself without needing any special registration.
