§ 12105 Late Fee Penalty Addition

If you don't pay a fee by its due date, a penalty set by the director will be added to what you owe.

Key Takeaways

  • •Pay fees by the expiration date to avoid extra charges.
  • •A penalty will be added if the fee is late.
  • •The exact penalty amount is set by the director under another rule.

Example

You have a $100 business license renewal that must be paid by June 30. You wait until July 5 to pay it.

Because you missed the June 30 deadline, the director adds a penalty (the amount the director decides) to your $100, so you have to pay more than $100.
