§ 10783 License Revocation For Violations

A prior violation of this law can lead to losing your license, and it makes any new violation more serious.

Key Takeaways

  • •A past violation can cause license revocation.
  • •Past violations are treated as an aggravating factor for future offenses.
  • •The law applies to any rule in this chapter or its regulations.

Example

You were caught driving without a seatbelt last year and got a ticket.

Because you already broke the seatbelt rule, if you break it again the authorities can take away your driver’s license faster and treat the new offense as worse.
