§ 10403 Animal Slaughter Timeline

A farmer gets a cow appraised for its value. The farmer then has to arrange for the cow to be slaughtered within the next 30 days, and a director must be present during the slaughter.

Because the law requires the animal to be killed within 30 days of the appraisal and under the director’s supervision, the farmer must schedule the slaughter quickly and make sure the director is there.
