§ 6642 Delegate List Filing Deadline

• •If you win a write-in vote in a primary election for delegates, you have to do something important.
• •You must give a list of your delegates to the Secretary of State within 37 days after the election.
• •You have to follow the rules in Sections 6563 and 6564 when you give this list.

Imagine you are running to be a delegate in a big election, and people write your name on the ballot. You get the most votes this way.

Because you won with write-in votes, you now have 37 days to tell the Secretary of State who your delegates will be. You can't just forget about it—you have to follow the rules and send the list on time.
