§ 6341 Candidate Ballot Withdrawal Notice

When the Secretary of State decides to place the name of a candidate on the ballot pursuant to Section 6340, he or she shall notify the candidate that his or her name will appear on the ballot of this state in the presidential primary election. The secretary shall also notify the candidate that he or she may withdraw his or her name from the ballot by filing with the Secretary of State an affidavit pursuant to Section 6342 no later than the 68th day before that election. (Amended by Stats. 1999, Ch. 312, Sec. 8. Effective January 1, 2000.)
