§ 6002 Delegate Selection Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about how California picks people to represent the state at big Democratic Party meetings.
  • •The rules for picking these people must follow the same steps as the Democratic National Committee and California Democratic Party rules.
  • •The California Democratic Party must put these rules on their website so everyone can see them.

Example

Imagine your school is picking students to go to a big meeting with other schools. There are rules for how to pick these students, like when to sign up, how to choose them, and making sure everyone knows the rules.

This law is like those school rules but for picking people to go to the Democratic National Convention. The rules must be the same as the big party's rules, and everyone can see them on the website.
