§ 14210 Precinct Board Duty Distribution

This law says that members of a precinct board must share any extra jobs that belong to the board, and they can split them up however they think works best.

Key Takeaways

  • •Board members must share any additional duties that belong to the precinct board.
  • •They can decide how to split the work however they think is best.
  • •The law does not tell them exactly how to divide the tasks, only that they must do it.

Example

A precinct board has three members and needs to handle voter registration, meeting notes, and equipment checks, which are extra tasks beyond their personal jobs.

The three members decide who will do each extra task based on who has time and skill, because the law lets them divide the work in the way they think is most helpful.
