§ 13304 Polling Place Accessibility Notice

This law lets the local election office add info to the voting‑place notice about whether the site is wheelchair‑friendly and about the voter's rights under Section 14282.

Key Takeaways

  • •The notice can say if the polling place works for people with physical disabilities.
  • •It can also tell voters about their rights under Section 14282.
  • •Including this info is optional – the local elections official decides whether to add it.

Example

Maria gets a mailed notice telling her the polling place is wheelchair accessible and reminding her she can ask for help if needed.

Because the local elections official chose to include that info, Maria knows she can go to that site without worrying about stairs and she knows she has rights to assistance under the other law.
