§ 11223 Recall Petition County Certification

• •Only kicks in when a recall petition is circulated in more than one county.
• •Each county’s election official must attach a count of registered voters from that county who are in the official’s jurisdiction.
• •The count is added to the certificate that shows the results of the official’s examination.

A town mayor is being recalled and signatures are collected in County X and County Y.

The election officials in County X and County Y each have to put on their certification the count of voters in their own county who live in the mayor’s town, so the total shows how many eligible voters are in each county.
