§ 92514 Revenue Bond Project Restrictions

Key Takeaways

  • •The regents can set rules to limit other projects that might compete with theirs.
  • •These rules can control where other projects are built and how much they can charge.
  • •The goal is to make sure the money from their own projects stays safe.

Example

Imagine a school wants to build a new dorm to make money. They don’t want another dorm nearby charging less rent, because that could take away their renters.

The school can make rules saying no other dorms can be built too close, or that other dorms can’t charge much lower rent. This helps make sure their dorm stays full and makes enough money.
