§ 90070 Competitive Project Revenue Protections

Key Takeaways

  • •The board can set rules to limit other similar projects nearby.
  • •These rules help make sure the money from rent stays safe for paying back bonds.
  • •The rules can control where new projects are built and how much they can charge for rent.

Example

A new apartment building is being built with money from bonds.

The board can say no other big apartment buildings can be built too close, so the new building doesn’t lose renters and can pay back the bonds.
