§ 90036 Bond Trustee Revenue Management

Key Takeaways

  • •The State Treasurer is like a banker who holds and protects money for the university's dorm buildings.
  • •The university can tell the Treasurer how to use the money from dorms, like saving it or spending it on fixes.
  • •The money from dorms goes into a special account and can only be used the way the university and the Treasurer agree on.

Example

If a university dorm makes money from students paying to live there, that money doesn't just go anywhere.

The State Treasurer holds that money in a special account, like a piggy bank, and only spends it on things the university says are okay, like fixing broken stuff in the dorms.
