§ 88086 Personnel Director Duties

Key Takeaways

  • •The personnel director must follow the rules and be fair when handling employee issues.
  • •The personnel director cannot give advice or recommendations if they are the one who started the disciplinary action against an employee.
  • •The personnel director has to prepare a yearly report for the governing board.

Example

If a school's personnel director fires a teacher for being late too often, they can't then tell the commission whether the firing was fair or not.

The personnel director has to stay neutral and can't influence the decision if they were the one who started the disciplinary action.
