§ 81800 Community College Construction Funding

(a) This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Community College Construction Act of 1980. (b) The Legislature hereby declares that it is in the interest of the state and of the people thereof for the state to provide assistance to community college districts for the construction of community college facilities. The community college system is of general concern and interest to all the people of the state, and the education of community college students is a joint obligation and function of both the state and community college districts. In enacting this chapter, the Legislature considers that there is a need to provide adequate community college facilities that will be required to accommodate community college students resulting from growth in population and from legislative policies expressed through implementation of the Master Plan for Higher Education. (Repealed and added by Stats. 1980, Ch. 910, Sec. 2. Effective September 17, 1980.)
