§ 81521 Temporary Building Definitions

Key Takeaways

  • •A 'temporary-use building' is a building the school district plans to use for 3 years or less from the first day people start using it.
  • •A 'relocatable structure' is something built to be moved from one place to another.
  • •These definitions are used in this part of the law to decide rules for these types of buildings.

Example

A school district rents trailers to use as classrooms while the new school is being built.

If the district plans to use these trailers for only 2 years, they are called 'temporary-use buildings.' Since the trailers can be moved, they are also 'relocatable structures.'
