§ 78214 Student Success Program Evaluation

Key Takeaways

  • •Colleges must check if their student help programs are working well.
  • •They look at things like grades, courses finished, and if students get their degrees.
  • •They also check if students get the right help based on their needs, like money or classes.
  • •Colleges must track info like age, gender, and race to see if everyone is getting fair help.

Example

A student named Alex is struggling in math class and needs extra help.

The college must check if their tutoring program is helping Alex pass math. They look at Alex’s grades, if he finishes the class, and if he gets the right support. If lots of students like Alex still fail, the college must fix the program.
