§ 78041 Community College Bachelor'S Degrees

Key Takeaways

  • •Community colleges in California can offer bachelor's degrees, not just 2-year degrees.
  • •They must follow rules set by the state to make sure these programs are good quality.
  • •They have to work with other California universities (like Cal State and UC) to make this happen.

Example

A student wants to get a bachelor's degree in nursing but can't afford a big university.

Their local community college might offer a 4-year nursing degree now, so they can study close to home and save money.
