§ 54029 School District Funding Transparency

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools getting extra money for help must show how they spend it on their website.
  • •They must list how much money they got, how much went to office costs, and how much helped kids learning English or needing extra help.
  • •They also have to say how much money is left and why they didn’t spend it.

Example

A school gets $100,000 to help kids who don’t speak English well.

The school must put on its website how much of that $100,000 went to helping those kids, how much went to office stuff, and how much is left unspent.
