§ 52453 Agricultural Education Advisory Committee

Key Takeaways

  • •California has a special group called the Agricultural Advisory Committee to help with farming and agriculture education in schools.
  • •The group includes teachers, parents, and people who work in farming from different parts of California.
  • •This group gives advice on how to teach farming in schools, like what to teach and how to get more people interested in farming jobs.
  • •The people in this group don’t get paid for their work.

Example

A high school wants to start a new class about farming but isn’t sure what to teach.

The Agricultural Advisory Committee would help decide what topics the class should cover, like growing crops or taking care of animals, so students learn useful skills for farming jobs.
