§ 52372 Career Technical Education Programs

Key Takeaways

  • •High schools and special job training centers can create programs where students learn job skills by working in real jobs.
  • •These programs must follow rules set by the state’s education boss.
  • •The programs are part of regular school classes, not separate.

Example

A high school student wants to learn how to be a mechanic.

The school can set up a program where the student spends part of the week working at a real car repair shop while still going to regular classes. This helps the student learn hands-on skills while earning school credit.
