§ 52370 Federal Defense Career Classes

Key Takeaways

  • •High schools can offer special career training classes on Saturdays or evenings if the federal government supports them.
  • •These classes are for jobs related to national defense, like fixing planes or working with computers for the military.
  • •If the federal government pays for the whole class, the school won’t get extra money from the state for those students.
  • •The classes must be approved by the state’s education department.

Example

A high school offers a Saturday class to teach students how to repair military vehicles.

The class is paid for by the federal government because it helps with national defense. Since the feds cover all the costs, the school doesn’t get extra money from the state for the students who attend.
