§ 49021 Equal Athletic Participation Rights

It is the intent of the Legislature that opportunities for participation in athletics be provided on an equitable basis to all students. It is the further intent of the Legislature that females be given the same opportunity to participate in athletics and compete with other females in individual and team sports as is available to males who compete with other males in individual and team sports. (Enacted by Stats. 1976, Ch. 1010.)
