§ 45420 County School Data Agreement

• •This law only starts working when a county school boss and a school district make a deal.
• •The deal lets the county school boss take over a computer data center run by the school district.
• •Without this deal, the law doesn’t do anything.

A school district has a big computer system to keep track of student grades and records. The county school boss and the school district sign a paper saying the county will now run that computer system.

This law says that the county can only take over the computer system if they make a deal with the school district first. If they don’t make a deal, nothing changes.
