§ 41339 School Funding Certification

Key Takeaways

  • •The Superintendent has to officially approve and confirm how money is divided up under certain rules.
  • •This approval is sent to the Controller, who handles the money.
  • •The rules for dividing money are found in Sections 41332 to 41340.

Example

Imagine your school gets money from the government to buy new books and computers.

The Superintendent checks and signs off on how much money each school gets, then tells the Controller (the person in charge of the money) to send it out. This makes sure the money is split fairly and correctly.
