§ 38095 Cafeteria Fund Account Deposits

• •School districts with cafeteria money in the county treasury can open special accounts for it.
• •The county treasurer must put the money in these accounts and tell the county auditor and school superintendent about it.
• •If there are multiple accounts, the school district decides how much money goes into each one.

A school district has $10,000 from cafeteria sales saved in the county treasury.

The school board can tell the county treasurer to split this money into two accounts: one for new lunch tables ($6,000) and one for kitchen repairs ($4,000). The treasurer must then move the money and inform the county auditor and school superintendent.
