§ 35192 District Meeting Procedures

• •At a district meeting, the people there pick a leader to run the meeting.
• •The district clerk or secretary writes down what happens in the meeting.
• •The meeting can be paused and continued later if needed.
• •Votes to tell the board of trustees what to do can be secret (ballot) or by saying 'yes' or 'no'.

A group of neighbors meets to talk about fixing the local park.

They pick one person to lead the meeting. The secretary writes down what everyone decides. If they need more time, they can stop and finish the meeting another day. When they vote on whether to build a new swing set, they can do it by raising hands or writing it down secretly.
