§ 22222 Death Payment Adjustments

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can change the money given to families when someone dies, based on how much things cost in California.
  • •They can only do this if the change doesn’t make the plan more expensive to run.
  • •They need to check the latest money report to make sure the change is okay.

Example

If the cost of milk, bread, and gas goes up a lot in California, the government might give more money to a family whose parent died in a car crash.

But they can only do this if the money they give out doesn’t make the whole plan too expensive. They check a big money report first to be sure.
