§ 21113 Minor Custody By Trustees

• •A person giving money or property (the grantor) can say in their gift that the people in charge (trustees) can take care of kids (minors).
• •If the gift says this, the trustees can look after the kids in the way the law says.
• •The trustees must follow the rules in Chapter 4 of Division 3 of the Labor Code when taking care of the kids.

A rich person leaves money to a school and says in their will that the school can also take care of their younger siblings if something happens to their parents.

The school can now look after the kids, but they have to follow the rules in the Labor Code about how to do it.
