§ 19664 Library District Naming Rules

• •Every library district must have a name that includes the district's name and the county it's in.
• •The name should not include any numbers.
• •The library district can use this name to buy or sell property and to sue or be sued.

A new library district is created in Orange County called 'Sunshine Library District'.

The district must be officially named 'Sunshine Library District of Orange County'. They can't call it 'Sunshine Library District 1'. This name is used for all legal stuff, like buying land for a new library or if someone sues the district.
