§ 19650 State Publications For Libraries

Key Takeaways

  • •Libraries can ask the state for free copies of reports, laws, and other state papers.
  • •The state can give these papers to libraries if they're not already being used somewhere else.
  • •This helps libraries have important information for people to read and learn from.

Example

Your local library wants to have copies of new state laws so people can read them.

The library can ask the state to send them these laws for free, as long as the state isn’t already using them somewhere else.
