§ 19475 Library Funds Deposit

Key Takeaways

  • •Any money given to the library (like donations or gifts) must go into the county's special library fund.
  • •The library trustees are the only ones who can decide how to use that money.
  • •The money can't be used for anything else—only for the library.

Example

Someone donates $1,000 to the local library after they pass away.

That $1,000 must go into the county's library fund, and only the library trustees can decide how to spend it—maybe on new books or computers.
