§ 17263 School Building Plan Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •Schools must send their building plans to the state for approval before starting construction.
  • •The plans must include how much the school thinks it will cost to build.
  • •This rule is to make sure school buildings are safe and well-planned.

Example

A school wants to build a new gym.

Before they start building, they have to send the gym's blueprints and how much they think it will cost to the state. The state checks everything to make sure it's safe and follows the rules. If the state says no, the school can't build it until they fix the problems.
