§ 12052 Federal Aid Compliance Agreement

If people in the state take money or help from the federal government, they have to follow all the rules that come with it.

Key Takeaways

  • •Getting federal benefits creates a promise to obey the program’s rules.
  • •The promise applies to any federal act mentioned in Section 12050.
  • •People must follow every requirement, not just the big ones.

Example

A family receives federal disaster aid after a flood.

Because they accepted the aid, they must do everything the aid program says, like using the money for rebuilding and filing required reports.
