§ 6323 Corporate Financial Disclosure Enforcement

Key Takeaways

  • •If a company doesn't share important money info with its members, a court can make them do it.
  • •The court can give more time to share the info if there's a good reason.
  • •If the company refuses for no good reason, they might have to pay for the member's lawyer and other costs.

Example

You own part of a small company, but the boss won’t show you the money records you’re supposed to see.

You can go to court to make the boss show the records. If the boss had no good reason to hide them, the court can make the company pay your lawyer bills.
