§ 31100 Commissioner Exemption Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •Some deals don't have to follow the usual rules if the boss (commissioner) says it's okay.
  • •The boss can say 'no rules needed' if the deal is safe and doesn't hurt people or their money.
  • •This is only for special cases where the rules don't make sense.

Example

A small group of friends wants to invest money together to start a lemonade stand.

The boss might say they don't need to follow all the big rules because it's just a small, safe deal between friends.
