§ 10104 Lease Title And Consumer Law

This law says that when you rent something big like a car, boat, or mobile home, other rules might also apply, like registration or consumer protection laws.

Key Takeaways

  • •If you rent a car, boat, or mobile home, other laws (like registration or consumer laws) still apply.
  • •If this law conflicts with another law, the other law usually wins.
  • •Breaking these rules only matters if the other law says what happens when you break it.

Example

You rent a car for a week.

The rental agreement must follow car registration rules and laws that protect you as a customer.
