§ 8314 Lien Does Not Bar Other Remedies

An architect designs a house for someone, but the owner doesn’t pay them.

The architect can put a lien on the house (a legal claim to get paid when it’s sold), but they can also take the owner to court to get their money. The lien doesn’t stop them from doing both.
