§ 8056 Civil Procedure Rules Application

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says that most court rules for regular cases also apply to these special cases.
  • •If there’s a different rule in this part of the law, that rule wins.
  • •The law started in 2011 but didn’t fully kick in until 2012.

Example

If you’re in a court case about a family problem, like who gets to keep the dog after a breakup.

The usual court rules, like how to file papers or how to talk to the judge, still apply unless this special family law says something different.
