§ 713 Property Sale Sign Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •You can put up signs on your property (or someone else’s with their permission) to say it’s for sale, rent, or trade.
  • •The signs must be easy to see, not too big or flashy, and not block traffic or cause safety problems.
  • •The signs can show your name, phone number, address, or directions to the property.
  • •The city or county can still make rules about signs on roads or public land.

Example

You want to sell your house, so you put a sign in your front yard.

The sign can say ‘For Sale,’ your name, and your phone number, but it can’t be so big that it blocks drivers’ views or causes accidents.
