§ 6622 Common Interest Development Association Requiremen

Key Takeaways

  • •If a group forms a company to manage shared business or industrial property (like a shopping center or office park), their official papers must say so clearly.
  • •The papers must include the company’s office address and the location of the property they manage.
  • •If the company hires someone to manage the property, their name and address must also be in the papers.
  • •Older documents filed before 2014 that followed the old rules are still okay.

Example

A group of business owners creates a company to manage a shared office building.

When they file their official papers with the state, they must say they’re managing the office building, give the building’s address, and include the name and address of the person they hire to handle the day-to-day management.
