§ 6610 Governing Document Cross-Reference Correction

Key Takeaways

  • •If your neighborhood rules mention an old law that got updated, the board can fix the rule to point to the new law without asking everyone to vote.
  • •The board just needs to write down the fix in a special paper (resolution) to make it official.
  • •The fixed rules can be written down again and saved officially, but they must include the special paper (resolution) that says what was changed.

Example

Your neighborhood rules say 'follow law #123' but the law got renamed to 'law #456'.

The board can change the rules to say 'law #456' instead, without asking all the neighbors to vote. They just write it down in a special paper and save it.
